As a BHS Where to Train centre rated A5 and one of the only centres in the UK to hold the ABRS Advanced Teaching Diploma, Contessa is the ideal place to train for your equine exams. We are also an outstation for the College of West Anglia and offer full and part time courses with them.
We offer unique opportunities for students to advance their dressage riding abilities and experiences by being able to offer training on Advanced Dressage Schoolmasters and their ability over fences on show jumpers that have competition experience up to Foxhunter level. We have successfully trained riders and instructors for all levels up to BHS Fellowship and a significant number of ABRS Advanced Teaching Diploma candidates. The senior staff members in charge of training have a varied wealth of knowledge and experience that they can pass on to their students. Students are encouraged to actively take part in the organising and running of the yard offering invaluable business management experience.

Instructor
Contessa, internationally renowned family run equestrian centre has a vacancy for an Instructor with a minimum of BHSAI/II or ABRS TC that would like to continue their riding and teaching training using classical methods to advanced level.
A good opportunity to assist in the running of a busy riding centre but must have some previous experience/knowledge of business and office management, as well as student training/supervision. This role is a 5½ day week and accommodation is available if necessary. You will have the chance to ride and teach with super horses to Advanced Dressage level with the opportunity to compete.

Working Student position
Contessa Riding Centre are looking for full-time working students to work towards BHS stages/Apprenticeships.
The position includes training in riding, teaching, stable management and business management from qualified staff.
You will receive a recognised qualification and learn through hands-on, real life situations. You will receive a training wage and possible EMA entitlement, so will be paid to learn.
