Tessa at a Contessa summer show

Contessa

Tessa was the original pony that started the Centre in 1977, and she is still teaching children to ride – despite being in her 30s!

Paigle

Paigle enjoys jumping and hacking the most, and also enjoys fancy dress at Christmas.

Solo

Solo

If Solo was 16hh, he would be a Grand Prix dressage horse. He is strawberry roan, though we often call him pink and is very well schooled, enabling us to teach children more complicated lateral work.

Tally

Tally is a Welsh Section A pony and loves to have her mane brushed and plaited.

Moonie

Moonie

Moonie is relatively new to the Contessa family, but a firm favourite nonetheless! He loves all types of work, but is particularly talented at Jumping. He is the perfect size to be ridden by both children and adults.

Sandy

Sandy

Sandy is loved by all the children and is a great pony to learn to canter on.
